A seasoned biotech executive and consultant, he has helped found three Silicon Valley biotechnology companies and serves on the board of several others. As a sought-after consultant to venture funds and investors, Dr. Eeckman has analyzed hundreds of opportunities in biotechnology and other areas. After a residency in neurology, Dr. Eeckman became a pioneer in bioinformatics and led the Human Genome Project effort at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories.

Tim-Rasmus Kiehl, MD

Dr. Kiehl is a neuropathologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, with a broad interest in neurotechnology and regional development in Asia and the Middle East. His current research involves the merging of brain imaging with microscopy as well as novel molecular genetic aspects of brain tumors. He teaches the “Human Nervous System and Behavior” course at Harvard Medical School and a member of the Society for Neuroscience and the College of American Pathologists. Previously, Dr. Kiehl worked at Cedars-Sinai on model systems of neurodegenerative diseases and did a residency in general anatomic pathology at Stanford University Medical Center.
