Market Highlights: NeuroInsights and NASDAQ Launch Neurotech Index This month NeuroInsights launched a new neurotech tracking index in collaboration with NASDAQ, called the NASDAQ NeuroInsights Neurotech Index which lists under the symbol NERV. The index is substantially different from NeuroInsights’ previous index which was a representative sample of stocks across the industry. NERV is inclusive of all neurotech companies that meet certain market criteria and have more than 50% of current revenues or an estimated 50% of R&D investment in neurotech. While 61 companies currently qualify as neurotech companies on the three major exchanges according to NeuroInsights, components must also meet minimum market criteria defined by NASDAQ to ensure that viable and liquid ETF products can be created from the index, including a $200 million market cap and 100,000 shares average daily trading volume (See Index Components, page 16; See Neurotech Insights Special Index Edition for full details). NASDAQ is in discussions with financial institutions to create tradable products based on the index. We will keep readers appraised when these products become available...

Buying sprees, binges, sexual indiscretions, and irresponsible business decisions and investments are common. In many patients, levels of activity are extremely high and they become prone to accidents and trouble with law enforcement. While lithium is the mainstay therapy, antidepressants, antipsychotics, and anticonvulsants are often prescribed. Several new treatments are in development...
