7TM Pharma was founded in 2000 as a spinout from the University of Copenhagen by Professor Thue Schwartz and Dr. Christian Elling. NeuroInsights spoke with Dr. Elling to get an update on recent changes at the company. “When the company got started Schwartz and I had worked together for some time.” Elling says. “We were joined by local folks from the biotech industry, including our former CEO, Mette Kirstine Agger. The company was focused on a technology for drugs that act on GPCR's, also known as 7-transmembrane domain receptors or 7TM receptors, hence our name."
